Convinced I flew back East for three of the most beautiful shoots in the whole wide world - continuously amazed by the couples I get to work with and their amazing stories. Dangerously close to a 6k photo intake from the past two weeks lol but SO WORTH it 👏Here are just a handful from Friday that I couldn't wait to share - the biggest congrats to the Bozeks! ❤️🎉

We are ✨ BACK ✨

could not have asked for a better way to kick off this wedding season than celebrating my own AMAZING sister and her FAB fiancé at sampling their new, hot off the press Canadian Tuxedo cocktail.

Fun fact: Katie and Josh had their very first date at Codex back in good ol’ Feb of 2020. Two years and one engagement later, they’re ready to ring in their WEDDING next may 🎉

Continuously grateful to be able to capture the people that mean the most to me during the times that mean the most to them - these two are a GIFT ❤️

🌵U P D A T E 🌵

Big news comin’ your way today: we are headed to the great state of Arizona for 2022! 🌵🏜

After a few quieter months on here, I’m excited to finally share a bit more about the BTS of this move and what it means for this lil biz next year.

☀️ Back in August, we had some crazy amazing opportunities open up to be close to my man’s fam in AZ. We always say our hearts are in two places with fam in the North East and in PHX, and being close to Jackson’s hometown for a season was a dream from the get go. Two new jobs, two incredibly supportive fams and a billion answers to prayer later and we are ready to cruise West next month!

💛 My heart’s a little all over the place to say the least 😉 BUT, I’m also so absolutely grateful for the ways God has provided for us already, excited for the AZ friends haven’t even met yet, and grateful for amazing people (@ mom and dad and sibz) who anchor us to both places.

This also means some updates for M.BLUE photo + some unexpected (and exciting!) turns for next year:
✈️ We already have travel plans in place for all 2022 booked weddings, and I’m so grateful to have extra reasons to be back East for the year! If we’ve already talked through your wedding plan, you can bet I’ll be here ready to root for you with a hearty cheers and two heartier cameras 😉

Is it just me, or is there something about early sunsets and Christmas lights that kicks nostalgia into overdrive?

(Maybe it's just me 😉)

Been a bit quiet on here as I've been thinking through how much a photog's IG grid (and the person behind it) can change in 12 months. I.E. - I promised myself I'd never follow a photography meme page, but here I am 10 accounts deep and reminded by each one how universal (+ exhausting) + somehow unique each photographer's experience is. I kicked off the year with one family shoot on the books, and have sent out 3K+ (!) photos since. I've found SO MUCH joy in meeting new people, witnessing + capturing life changing moments, and freeze-framing some of the richest, sweetest, most meaningful seasons for others.

I've ALSO found myself the most truly exhausted in the most adult way I've ever been (ha) leaning into a 9-5 that I love while spending after-hours culling and polishing galleries. And I'm learning that saying "yes" to something I LOVE and value comes with saying "no" to free time and rest.

Next year holds some big changes for me and my man, and the coming months will be focused on finding balance in a little biz I LOVE while prioritizing the people and relationships in my life that matter most. Carving out time to snap pics, AND carving out time to just BE.

That being said, until further notice I will not be taking any other wedding inquiries in the North East for 2022 - scaling my business isn't the right choice if it could negatively impact the experience of my clients and my ability to rest, and right now I am right where I need to be ❤️

If we worked together this year: thank you - for your trust and encouragement, it means more than you know. If you're a 2022 bride + groom: thank you for helping me meet my goals for the year before it even started - I cannot WAIT to celebrate you 🙂 And if you've been following along: thank you for every referral, note and ounce of encouragement - it's the little nudge I didn't know I needed 🙂

And if the nostalgic part of your brain kicks into overdrive this month, it leaves you grateful ☀️

So so excited to ship this preview gallery out to my brochacho and sistah-to-be today - it’s not every day you get to capture the people you love most! Fun fact, the stone in Kaylah’s bling is Ametrine, which is a combination of her and Nicholas’ birthstones (amethyst and citrine). I mean all bling is fab but this one might take the cake 😉 love these two and CANNOT WAIT for their partay of the century on 10.08.22 🥂 🎉
