It’s already been 1 year since we said goodbye to the JetBlue E190s!

This was actually my first time flying on an E190. A JetBlue E190 was the first plane I ever took a photo of, so I had to be there for the last flight!

You can read a little more about the E190 here, this was from my post last year.

The E190 wasn’t just any other plane for JetBlue. It allowed JetBlue to expand, and lead JetBlue into their major presence at Boston that we see in the present day. Because of the E190, JetBlue has been able to connect millions of people from Boston to destinations all across the United States and beyond. The E190 played a key role for JetBlue in expanding to many smaller destinations across New England such as Nantucket, MA, Worcester, MA, Burlington, VT, Portland, ME, and even connecting Boston back to Presque Isle, ME last fall.

This E190, N329JB, symbolizes 20 years of growth and history for JetBlue. With this being the E190 that operated JetBlue’s last revenue flight, it was signed by hundreds of crew members, passengers, and aviation enthusiasts including myself that were there for the sendoff to show our appreciation for the E190. Being there for the last ever departure out of Boston was special to me, as a JetBlue E190 was the first plane I ever took a video of. Watching this E190 lift off for the final time represents 2 decades of hard work, billions of miles flown, and the beginning of the new era for JetBlue with the A220.

My favorite part is always getting the money shot with the AeroLEDs | A Whelen Aerospace Company shining through the smoke!
I still can’t believe I won a ride with them at Sun n’ Fun earlier this year! Thanks again to AeroLEDs for making that happen!

The legacy lives on.

The iconic JetBlue Blueprint livery returned this summer on this A220 named “Blueprint II” after the Blueprint E190 was retired in early 2024.

As we are quickly approaching 1 year since the retirement of the E190s, this livery is a great example of how the A220 will carry the E190’s legacy into the future.
