This dude is an incredibly talented photographer, videographer (check Troy Ali), and bartender (also check Troy Ali), and is someone who truly inspires me. Aside from that he is genuinely one of the best humans I know. Very lucky to call this dude a friend!

Congrats to darling on 1 year! Last night was the perfect celebration, bringing together some amazing industry leaders to put on a show in your beautiful space! šŸ‘ So much love for Brian Callahan , Zimu Chen , and the whole Darling team!

On a more personal note - Brian has been a mentor to me for yearsā€”going back to our days at Tiger Mama. So much of what I know about hospitality and what it means to truly work for something came from my time prepping the bar with him, week in and week out.

Brian has always led by example ā€” putting in endless hours, caring about every detail, and never expecting anything to come without putting in the work behind it.

But more than anything, heā€™s always shown me that you can work hard, do things the right way, and find success without ever losing sight of who you are, where you came from, or the people who helped you get there. I have so much love and respect for this guy, so seeing what he, Chen, and the entire team have built at Darling, makes celebrating their first year very special! Congrats Darling, hereā€™s to many more celebrations šŸ„‚

Hi Friends! Iā€™m J-M ā€” photographer, professional over-packer, and firm believer that the best photos usually happen somewhere between the plan and whatever actually ends up happening.

I like things candid, a little imperfect, and true to how they actually feel. Also, thereā€™s a very good chance I brought three lenses when I only needed one.
