I’m honored to have photographed JVS Boston’s 2025 Annual Report. For me, photography has always been about connection and telling human stories, which made this project especially meaningful. Spending time with the people behind JVS’s work and capturing moments that reflect growth, resilience, and opportunity was both inspiring and rewarding. Grateful to use my lens to help share the impact JVS has in our community.

Early in my career, I had the opportunity to take this photo of Shirley Chisholm. Looking back on it now, I appreciate even more how she spoke with conviction, challenged barriers, and believed that progress required action. On Juneteenth, I’m reflecting on the ongoing work of freedom, equality AND equity, and the call for all of us to participate in shaping a better future.
