Adventure weekend, quarantine edition. We squeezed in one more camping trip, and found our second favorite boondocking location. And it is second only because first place is THAT amazing. But this place…I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to come here. I love a chill weekend with just my little family, but can’t wait to bring our friends and fam with us next time! The ranger at the Redwood National Park visitor center told us, “thank you for bringing your kids out and letting them see all this.” It was a strange thing to hear and made me pause, I don’t even think I responded, but I am still digesting. It’s been a trip, I’m not sure what they think of all this, if they appreciate it like we adults do. But then I see this photo I took of my girl just sitting on this big log on the beach, examining the sand collecting on the bark…and I get it.
