Michelle Chan Photography began in a college dorm room. As a full-time Psychology student and a part-time freelance photographer, Michelle combined her love for understanding people with her desire to empower them. The result was her dive into portrait photography, in which she creatively documented the beauty of her subjects and their lifestyles. Since then, Michelle has expanded her lens through

professional experience in event, lifestyle, product, fashion, and landscape photography. As a full-time freelance photographer, she is eager to continue empowering others and would love to collaborate with you!

// My socially distant has been overwhelmingly beautiful and tranquil. 🚐 I am now based out of an enchanting mountain village in New Mexico while spending the majority of my time shooting in the magical mountain ranges of Colorado. 🏔 Now far removed from Los Angeles, I have refreshed my love for capturing love ❀ — for my dream career in Intimate Wedding & Elopement Photography.

In an attempt to reconnect to internet-based civilization, I thought I’d share a series of facts about myself! Fun or not, here ya go:

Fact #1: 🌎 Over the next 7 months, I will be photographing a myriad of intimate weddings and elopements in New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Jamaica, and Cancun! All places I had never stepped foot in before this year. I love my job!! đŸ„ș @ Colorado Mountain Ranch

Fun fact: I hosted Erinna my first year at Pomona when she was a prospective student considering attending. Fast forward exactly 4 years later -- now I'm witnessing her graduate :') ///


I LOVED taking a more natural, documentary approach to Erinna's grad shoot! I followed her around campus for an evening, capturing her in her natural element (especially loved the lifestyle shots in her room) and her favorite spots on campus. ///


I'd LOVE to do more shoots like these!! I'm now booking for Spring 2018 grads, so please PM me before I fill up!!

Catalina and I go back 7 years, having attended the same high school and both ending up at the Claremont Colleges. Although I'm at Pomona College and she's at Claremont McKenna College, having campuses across the street from each other means that our social circles have increasingly overlapped. Through this process, I have gained insight into the alternate life I might have lived if 4 years ago, when deciding which college to attend, I had chosen to attend Claremont Mckenna (fun fact: I was VERY close to doing so). Thank you Cat for speaking out during your college years and challenging CMC to do better. You're a badass womyn and the world needs more of you.
