Bald eagles and maintaining their habitat has been a big part of my life in the last number of months. So at this point, my photography and efforts have been about directing a change to benefit these birds, and all the wildlife that is protected under their nest areas. I no longer sell prints, but am happy to share news and photos here on occasion. This eagle is one of a pair in Weld County, and is hunting for fish--here in fact looking for the next catch. Dana.

There are a few regulars on this page that probably did not get the message that we will only very rarely being posting. Traffic on our page is too low and post don't get much circulation without paying to do so. If you are a regular, and haven't requested a to friend me on my personal page, you can find the information on one of my last posts. This is from two nights ago, in Mexico. Thanks, Dana

3rd Flatiron (praying hands) and sunrise glow. Folks: there are some great supporters of this page, and I am a big fan of all of you. Facebook so drastically limits post circulation that very few of you see the photographs. I sometimes pay for extra circulation, but we make no money here, so this isn't a viable option. I may keep the page going from time to time, but not sure. If you really enjoy the photos, and would like to continue seeing them, send me an email at [email protected] and I'll send you a friend request to my personal page. Thanks. Dana

The grasses from the early verdant part of our spring/summer really give the meadows on Bear Mountain a peaceful feel in the snow. This afternoon's walk. By Dana Bove.

Bear Mountain, Boulder. "When we come from gratitude, we become more present to the wonder of being alive in this amazing living world, to the many gifts we receive, to the beauty we appreciate...a moment of gratitude strengthens your capacity to look at, rather than turn away from, disturbing information...by honoring your pain for the world, in whatever form it takes, you take it seriously, and allows the signal it brings to rouse you"---Joanna Macy, Active Hope.

Here's the followup photo of the golden eagle shot from yesterday, that Facebook so generously circulated to about 300 of 3500 PFAC followers. I digress, but the golden eagles nest on the side faces of these slabs on Green and Bear Mountains in Boulder. Love the frosty draping of snow on the rocks and and flocked on the trees. Yesterday morning early, from the porch.

I have some good friends and great supporters of this page, and wanted to wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday. Here's what is likely a juvenile golden? eagle that visited our neighborhood today. This one looked a bit cold from the wet snow. By Dana Bove.

Took a well deserved break (actually it was permanent) from the Broncos train wreck today, as this was happening across the street. No Broncos on TV where we are staying, so we were watching the game in a loud biker-ish bar. It was a well conceived break. Flagler Beach pier, Florida. By Dana Bove.

It's been a gorgeous fall here in Boulder, and here's one from a couple of weeks ago. The air felt a bit like winter finally tonight. It's getting to be that time. By Dana Bove.
