In addition to Bowie and Crofton, our members come from a large geographical area that covers much of central and southern Maryland, including Annapolis, Severn, Waldorf, Laurel and Columbia. The membership of B-CCC d

emonstrates a wide range of skill levels, interests and experiences. Each year's schedule features guests who cover topics that are educational and entertaining for everyone from the newest, most novice photographer on up to the seasoned professional. Our members range from beginners to highly skilled photographers. Our interests are in color slides, black & white prints color prints, and digital imaging, with many devotees in each division. We meet four Monday evenings each month, September through May, for competitions, lectures, demonstrations and discussions. We conduct workshops, go on fun-filled field trips and publish an informative, award-winning newsletter. You will find the Competition meetings, on the first Monday of each month, friendly and helpful. Skilled judges constructively critique each photograph so you can learn what is good and what can be improved. At the second meeting each month – known as Photo Talk, bring your questions, suggestions and experience, for a lively, unstructured session of mutual help and information. Have some of your prints and slides constructively critiqued by members present. At the third meeting each month – the Program meeting, you meet a variety of expert guests, including professional photographers, instructors and advanced amateurs, with interesting, informative and entertaining programs. At the fourth meeting each month – the How-to meeting, members and invited photographers introduce you to a broad range of photographic techniques and equipment to enhance your skills. During the 2002-03 club year the How-to meetings will focus on the emerging world of digital photography. Advanced members conduct informal workshops affording you hands-on instruction or guidance in various areas, such as basic knowledge, darkroom techniques, flash photography, close-focus, etc. Many weekends you can join informal field trips for on-the-spot photographic experiences, camaraderie and all-round good fun. The club has been a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) for more than 25 years. PSA offers forums, educational programs, international competitions, seminars and much, much more.
