It has been way too long since Matt and I got up early to drive around by ourselves. Theoretically we were looking for antelope. Even though that goal wasn’t accomplished, I took some of the coolest images I have in a long time… 💖

A freezing fog rolled through this morning, so everything has a layer of frost on it during my morning walk - including the puppy!

Even though it was overcast and a little drizzly, we took a drive through the Northeast Kingdom and down to Cabot. While foliage isn’t at peak, the colors were so beautiful! 🍁

Peggy’s Cove is this cute little fishing village outside of Halifax. While the drive out there was stunning, we weren’t offered any photo ops - definitely need to go back someday to explore more!

Heading north from Sydney Nova Scotia, you end up on the Cabot Trail, and end up in a national park. And when it’s a beautiful September day, it becomes a little more magical. The coastline is rugged, they have pink colored volcanic rock, cute little lighthouses, and gorgeous purple hydrangeas…

First stop: Newport RI! I was really looking forward to this port. We awoke to a beautiful sunrise over the harbor! No tours planned, but I had two missions…a lobster roll and a shopping trip to Kiel James Patrick…and I accomplished both as the rain settled in for the rest of the day
