Sarah Ewalt Photography

Sarah Ewalt Photography I love capturing life's moments through the lens. Sarah Ewalt is a Montana-based photographer, specializing in nature and travel photography.

Having had a camera in her hands since she was eight, she loves to capture & document the intimate moments of life. Whether it be along the trail on the way to summit Kilimanjaro (where she was the documentary photographer for a charity trek), or simply in a local park capturing a tender moment for a family, Sarah's genuine, amiable nature allows one to feel at ease while in front of the camera.

A group of bighorn rams clustered together amidst a herd of outside Yellowstone National Park. Was interesting to watch as they stood there huddled together, occasionally one male (presumably the alpha) would butt heads with another ram in the cluster.

As the sun was dipping behind the horizon on the last day Yellowstone was fully open this year, I came across this sweet fox along the road.. I slowly crept up next it her, and we had a few moments alone before a car came along, causing her to run up the 20’ tall embankment

As if on cue, she walked into the last light of the day, illuminating her as I fired off these shots (a total gift for me, as I’d already resigned to the light being gone & ready to drive home)

Each time I go into the park it’s a different experience. Always amazing in its own right. This fox and her friends now have that part of the park to themselves again. Do they love the quiet that winter brings as well?
