**Day 3: The Start of the 44th Burris Reunion!**

Happy Friday (8/25), Everyone!

Today is all about Family Bowling, a fantastic opportunity to catch up with family and enjoy some quality time together. It’s also the day we proudly wear our bright T-shirts! We started with a light snack and, of course, plenty of bowling. Once bowling was wrapped up, we held a family meeting. After that, we had the rest of the evening free until tomorrow. My family decided to head over to Mr. Ed's, where the food was delicious! After dinner, our group planned to meet up later in the evening.

**Day 2: The Start of the 44th Burris Reunion!**

Happy Thursday (8/24), everyone!

Today is the day I’ve been looking forward to—the official reunion festivities have begun! With check-in for the reunion starting at 6 PM (the Meet & Greet), we had most of the afternoon free. My family and I decided to make the most of our time in New Orleans, so we headed to a cool restaurant in the French Quarter. The ambiance was lively, with music playing gently in the background, and the food was fantastic! After our meal, we took a stroll through the charming streets of New Orleans, soaking in the unique architecture and vibrant atmosphere.
As the afternoon turned into evening, it was time to head to the Meet & Greet event. This was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with family members, both familiar and new. We received our itinerary for the week, and I get to mingle with everyone. It was heartwarming to see cousins catching up, sharing laughs, and enjoying the thrill of being together.
We ended the night with a festive stroll down Bourbon Street, taking in the music and vibrant energy that surrounded us. The lively atmosphere really made the reunion feel special and memorable.
I look forward to what tomorrow will bring as the reunion festivities continue! Day 3 is family bowling in the afternoon and free time in the evening.

**Day 1: Arrival in New Orleans*

Happy Wednesday (8/23), everyone!

Today marks the first day of my trip from Holmes Beach to New Orleans, even though the official reunion festivities kick off tomorrow. I figured I’d arrive a bit early to soak in the sights and get to know the area.
I’m staying at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter, which is just two blocks away from the famous Bourbon Street. The hotel lobby is stunning, and the atmosphere is already buzzing with excitement. After checking in, I took some time to explore my surroundings. The first thing I noticed was the lively music coming from Bourbon Street—there’s a fantastic band playing already!
It feels great to be immersed in the vibrant culture of New Orleans. I strolled around the area, soaking in the sights, sounds, and, of course, the nearby restaurants and souvenir stands. After walking around, I finally stopped at Willie's for a late-night snack, which hit the spot after a fun day of exploring!
As I settle into this lively atmosphere, I'm looking forward to experiencing all that New Orleans has to offer in the days ahead. I can’t wait to share more about my adventures tomorrow, as the official reunion kicks off.
