Ohio Meteor Has Been Upgraded To A Small Asteroid! 😮
The estimated 6 to 7 ton object is now estimated to have been the size of a small car before it broke up in the earth's atmosphere over Ohio Tuesday morning. Here are some words from the initial report:
"NASA Meteoroid Environment Office finds that this was a 2m diameter object weighing around 6 metric tons - more of a small asteroid than a large meteoroid."
The report also estimates that meteorites up to 22 pounds may be found on the ground in Medina County where the asteroid broke up!
