Stopped by Whitman's Pond in yesterday looking for the bald eagles that call the pond home. Sadly, no eagles yesterday but definitely plenty of others to photograph including multiple Ospreys, some ducks, a beautiful male Swan who swam up for a closer look at the guy with the camera, a Great White Egret and Double Crested Cormorant who gave a quick fly-by, and a Red-Winged Black Bird who was very vocal about how close I had accidentally gotten go his nest of little ones...

Every year I do my best to head down to the Finish Line after work to snap photos of the runners who continue to come in well after the official "end" of the Marathon.
According to the BAA Rules & Regulations, the Boston Marathon Finish Line officially closes at 5:30pm, and runners that cross the finish line after that time will receive their official Boston Marathon Finisher medal, but they will not record an official time.
These runners pour their heart and soul into their runs and raise thousands of dollars for charity in the process and deserve just as much recognition as those who finished earlier in the day.
The wonderful team of race organizers, volunteers and spectators who stick around for until the last runner on the course crosses the line are absolute rockstars, cheering on those runners like they are the most important people in the city.

Oscar Nominated actress Rose Byrne was celebrated on Friday afternoon with a parade through Harvard Square after being named The Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year by Harvard's infamous theater troupe.
Byrne, who is Nominated for the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You", will be formally honored during the presentation and of the Hasty Pudding Cup during a performance tonight at the university's Farkas Hall.
Fun Fact: Byrne has already landed a Best Leading Performance Award for her work in "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You" at the Boston Society of Film Critics Awards.

It was yet another exciting night at The Annual Braintree Christmas Party at the new Leo's Events and Restaurant on Granite St where all of the toys collected during the Braintree Police Officers Association toy drive and the numerous collection drop-off boxes across town.
The toys were delivered with an es**rt from the Braintree Police Department and Brewster Ambulance Service along with the help of Santa to a packed house. All of the toys will go to benefit the Marge Crispin Center, who's seen an influx of families in need this holiday season.
Special thanks to Leo's for graciously hosting and donating a selection of delicious food for all of the guests to enjoy.

It was another fantastic night spent at Wahlburgers for the 5th annual Burgers Against Breast Cancer fundraiser put on by the Hingham Police in partnership with the celebrity burger joint.
Several area agencies brought their pink-themed cruisers to the flagship spot in the Hingham Shipyard for a static display while New England Patriots mascot Pat the Patriot greeted dinner guests and posed for photos.
Guests were also treated to all of the tail wags and wet noses they could handle from members of the Plymouth County Comfort Dogs.
Special thanks to all of the departments that joined, and to celebrity chef Paul Wahlberg for his continued support of the Hingham Police Department.
Proceeds from the sale of pink patches, hats and t-shirts along with a generous donation from proceeds of food sales during the event will directly benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the Hingham PD's Pink Patch Project initiative.
If you wish to purchase any Pink Patch merchandise, it will be available through the end of the month in the lobby of the new Hingham Public Safety Building at 35 Essington St in Hingham.
