WHAT MAKES A GREAT ACTOR HEADSHOT — AND HOW DO YOU PREPARE?

At Film Taster 2026, photographer Sara Lauren will teach actors what goes into creating a strong professional headshot — and how to prepare before they ever step in front of the camera.

Film Taster 2026 is a Georgia Arts Initiative production, in partnership with Douglas County Film & Entertainment. The event is built around practical instruction from working industry professionals.

Sara works with actors on headshots and portrait photography, with a focus on how casting type, wardrobe and preparation affect the final image.

In her breakout session, Sara will cover what makes a strong actor headshot, what actors should wear, and how to prepare for a session so their photos truly represent them.
