Seeing the sky turn red as the wildfire smoke tried its best to smother the sun was an apocalyptic feeling. The smell of smoke and understanding that so many lives were about to change set in a strange sense of amazement at the power of nature and will of God. Here is a photo of the sun trying its best to shine through the haze. If you look close enough you can even see some sunspots. This is what I would imagine life looking if dragons existed…
