Jill Daugherty Photography Jill Daugherty Photography is a boutique portrait studio specializing in wall portraits for home I hope you all enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy taking them.

While growing up, I developed a strong sense of family and found a passion for art. Combining these two passions I began my studies in art and education at Webster University. My journey through teaching took me to an unexpected place: a kindergarten room. While not my first choice, it was where my mini artists-in-training taught me my first lessons about working with kids. My own kids have furthe

red my education and experience in dealing with young children while enriching my life and reinforcing my strong family values. After making the hard decision to put my teaching career on hold to spend more time with my children, I began my own in-home daycare. The little treasures I care for bring me joy and surprise me day after day. To all of my parents, I thank you that I was able to share in your lives and watch as your children grew and learned. Watching my kids (my own and the ones I got to borrow each day) I felt a need to capture each silly, crazy and fun moment of the day. My mom, who gives me inspiration, gave me my first camera and started me off on the new path to photography. My love of art turned it into a career as a family boutique photographer. Photography has given me another channel to express my passion for family and everything artistic. Every client has a story to tell and it's my job to tell it with authenticity and beauty. To the families that have allowed me to take your pictures and have been with me on this adventure, thank you. To everyone new: Welcome to the fun!

We have a couple of October dates remaining for seniors who want fall color, gorgeous evening light and an experience created just for them.

And you know I love a procrastinator, but for my seniors who have been thinking they still have plenty of time, or for my mamas who just can’t seem to convince their kiddo that senior portraits are worth it, now is the time to make it happen.

Need help convincing your senior? I have a few tips to help make the experience feel fun, relaxed and totally worth it for them. Comment "CONVINCE THEM" and I’ll share them with you!

Do you know what I hear most from moms of kids in fifth and sixth grade?

“I just don’t want them to lose their sparkle.” ✨

That bright, joyful piece of themselves that loves life and is not afraid to be exactly who they are.

I have guided four of my own kids through the bumpy middle-school years, and I get to spend time with my 8th grade PSR students every week. I created the I’m Possible Tween Empowerment experience for Clinton County and co-founded an art school with Jamie Geragosian because I believe every young person deserves a safe place to try new things, be encouraged and feel like they belong.

I am incredibly passionate about tweens, teens and i understand the huge life changes they are navigating. I want to pour positive energy into them and remind them that they are not alone.

But there is another group I want to celebrate:

Moms, stepmoms, aunties and every special woman loving a middle schooler.

You may feel like the “bad guy” some days. You may be navigating life changes of your own. You may both be tired. But your child loves you. You love them. That deserves to be seen and celebrated.

Introducing What She Sees, a powerful portrait project for tweens and teens and the women who love them.

Together, you will have a fun 30-minute portrait experience. Then you will return to the studio to create one meaningful, one-of-a-kind portrait that becomes a visual love note between you.

Sessions begin this weekend, and a portion of every session supports Coping 4 Life, helping us spread even more positive energy in our community.

I have a limited number of openings. Comment “SHE SEES” to get the ball rolling and be a part of this amazing portrait project!

Oh, Clinton County, you are not ready for this!!

Introducing What She Sees: A portrait project for tweens and the women who love them!

It's a she & me session with a twist!

We will photograph you both in the studio. After the session, you and your tween will be invited back to the studio to add fun designs and empowering messages on each other's portraits. The twist? You don't get to see what your tween is writing about you, and they don't get to see what you are writing about your tween!

BONUS: The proceeds from this project will go to ! Our goal is to raise $2000 for this amazing non profit that benefits everyone in Clinton County.

These portraits are going to be show stoppers so we will be displaying them during the Hive on 5th & Main's open house, October 13th! You will get to meet the women owned businesses that keep the hive the bustling place it is, see the amazing community mural project and Coping 4 Life created last May with the local junior highs and see the art you and your tween made together!

The session which includes two 15" prints and a painting party at Horizon Line is $250

We do have a pretty tight deadline to get everyone photographed and art work created so don't wait, get your discovery call to learn more about this amazing opportunity scheduled!
