Sometimes I think -- I've taken all of the photos I can of Seattle. I was born and raised here. I lived here until I was 23 years old, got married, moved away for 33 years, came back in 2015 with my domestic partner, Rich. Yet, I still discover new ways to take photos, news areas of the city I love, I experiment with various lens, and photography styles like black and white and edgy qualities. The think I love about where I live is the weather and scenery change, people come and go, and Seattle is growing. There is always something new and different to see. This past week, I hung out with photographer friends in Seattle and took some cool photos. Hope you enjoy seeing these 9 images compiled from a couple of trips to the Emerald City. The scenic beauty and interesting places that are available to see in the United States is nearly endless. So far, I've visited 43 states of the 50 United States, and Puerto Rico an unincorporated territory of the United States. There are many places I would like to revisit and many places I want to still discover.
In the spirit of America's 250th anniversary, I've put together photos I've taken of some of the places that touched my soul. Had a great day yesterday with my gal pal Sheila Spiro at the https://www.facebook.com/gigharborgardentour . It was a beautiful day for walking, looking at the gardens, and seeing beautiful landscape habitat and some wildlife -- all on the Kitsap Peninsula in Gig Harbor. We toured six gardens and enjoyed live harp music and talking with proud gardeners who graciously opened up their properties for the two-day tour. And, of course, I took some photos. More gorgeous Pacific Northwest garden flowers, plants, scenic scenes and some wildlife photos (19) posted on my blog.

Treated myself to the Canon RF 100mm F2.8 L Macro IS USM. I think the results of these practice shots taken outside in my yard and inside of a lovely bouquet of roses shows I made a wise purchase. Bonjour! Thinking in French and capturing all that I can during our recent trip to France! Ooh la la! From the beautiful French countryside to the food and drink...we spent a month, April 27-May 28 and spent time at: Normandy, Mont. St. Michele, Loire Valley, Saint Jean de Luz Basque region of France, a day to to San Sebastian, Spain for Pinxtos, then drove to Carcassonne, then spent five days in Provence near The Rhone River, up to Lyon, then spent a couple of days sipping Burgundy wines in Beaune and Aloxe Corton, next stop was Reims for the beautiful Reims Cathedral and tried out some of the boutique champagne houses, and our last 3-day stop was in Paris. We had temps ranging from 56 - 94 degrees! Pack light and have matching layers. Here is a sample of some photos I took on our French journey! We loved our time there and so I'm doing an entire wall with photographs of our trip. It's a great project and fun to do. Au Revoir!
