If fall is your happy place, let’s freeze time together with an outdoor session in October. Daylight savings ends November 1 this year, and the sun will set before 5:00p. October is your best month for fall photos this year.

The first time I photographed Anna, she could barely hold still for the camera. (Swipe to see our first session together, and my favorite kid photo of her.)

Now she’s a senior, effortlessly graceful in front of my lens, trusting me completely with these images that mark such a huge chapter of her life. The most elegant tea party for the sweetest 16 year old! Harper and her friends spent the afternoon at high tea with delicate finger sandwiches and pastries as they celebrated her birthday! I was honored to capture this gorgeous occasion at The Hermitage Hotel on Friday. Harper and her family have been clients of mine since she was two years old. Vacation can be the perfect time for family photos! Before traveling to your summer destination, consider booking a local photographer to capture your family in a different location for a unique and special photo session with extra memories added in!

This Iowa family chose Nashville for their summer destination this year, and we took a few moments out of their Music City visit to create Tennessee family portraits, a backdrop that looks different from their Iowa landscape. And the added bonus is they were traveling with their adult kids who are busy back home with their careers, where scheduling is more challenging.

I have the pleasure of meeting families from all over the country when they visit Nashville, and I love that we’ve become a vacation destination. From Broadway to the Nashville skyline to the green grass and farm fences of middle TN, we have so much to offer to make each family’s session special.

Consider booking a local photographer for your next vacation. And if you are need help finding one where you are headed, I’d be happy to help you choose one that will deliver amazing photos away from home.

Hey hey Class of 2027! It’s YOUR YEAR!!! This year is going to fly by. I’d love to send you a link to my Senior Guide to share all the things you need to know about options at khp.

Here are a few things to know:

My most popular month for sessions is September, which is open for booking.

Some seniors wait til late April for a Spring session, if they don’t need photos for the yearbook or senior salute pages.

I offer a full session and a half session for those who are just “doing this for mom” or want two smaller sessions in different seasons.

I fully encourage adding on a family session before next Summer ends! You won’t regret it.

3- 4 outfits is standard for a full session. 2 outfits for a half.

Popular Nashville locations include: Smith Park,
Ellington Ag Center, downtown Nashville/Franklin, Harlinsdale Farm, south 40 Farm, and the Mill Creek greenway, but any place that you love is great to me!
