Mary + Thomas, engaged and on film!

When Thomas and I were planning this proposal, I mentioned film and he had the *best* reaction…

“Oh my god, Mary loves film! She just got a little point and shoot of her own and she is so excited about it.”

Sure enough, on the day of the proposal, Mary shows up looking *so* cute (a moment for the blue set, please) and with a cute lil Canon sureshot around her wrist!

These scans are from my cameras, but I love knowing that my clients are also capturing big days (even if they don’t know it yet) on film. What a cool perspective shift it would be to look at her rolls!

Stock your space with your fave coffee, Saturday morning playlist, a blanket, and scents (candles, incense, essential oils) that smell like home. Woke up today feeling really, really glad to do what I do. Glad for the rain and the mountains and the tomatoes growing outside. Glad for the couples and families and creatives that invite me into their lives. Glad for coffee and toast and all rest.

Kinda chic to get ready at home 💅🏼

Caroline and her crew opted to start the day at a family home in Spartanburg’s historic Converse Heights, with her fiancé only two blocks over. The energy was wedding day giddy, with a certain lived in feel that could have been lost in an Airbnb or hotel. I love the opportunity to step into a place with a strong sense of history and personal meaning to my clients. A fabulous mid century bathroom never hurts, either. Color scans posting soon !
