Telling the story of an experience was an easy translation from weddings as a photographer who loves to capture the story and the essence of the couple.

Instead of a romance story - this shoot was focused on what makes these beautiful people wonderful and unique and an incredible force in the Kingdom of God as members of the Uptick experience. These people were already world changers, but watch out for the now after a year of intentional investment from incredible leaders.

I remember walking down main street in Blacksburg, casually discussing Kirsten's relationship with Jakob. He was a great guy, something my husband had attested to. I knew these two had been friends, best friends for a long time - but nothing romantic had been initiated. Once realizing Jakob could be a potential boyfriend - she wisely took time to pray and discern if the relationship would be a good fit. She has one remaining question at the end of the summer of prayer - would she be better off to serve others and accomplish more on her own?

The answer was no. Jakob enhanced her ability to love others, to love herself and to love God in a way that she least expected. He knows her, he sees her, he loves her selflessly and serves her that she may even be more effective in the Kingdom of God than she was alone.

This truth was obvious in their wedding has friends stood up to give toasts and testaments to the impact these two have had on countless lives... and to think - this is only the beginning of the ministry and their marriage. Scott and I praised God for celebrating this sweet and incredible couple and so excited to see what their future holds
