I knew even before I delivered my little love that this is what I wanted. I had expectations for how it would develop… how our bond would grow… but you truly never know what will happen until you’re holding this precious little person in your arms. This beautiful creature you created out of the greatest love.

If you’ve been following for some time or know me personally, you know breastfeeding has been a tremendous part of my motherhood journey. I am honored, privileged, and grateful to have had this experience and share such an intimate, special bond with my babe.

For 26 months, my body produced and delivered precious nutrients to my baby. Honestly, it still feels odd at times that she’s not still breastfeeding. You may recall, our breastfeeding journey came to an end a short 7 weeks ago! Even the very last time she fed from me… it was so special… magical even because I KNEW it was the last. People talk about intuition often, but a mother’s intuition is something so powerful. Perhaps I’ll sound a bit silly but I could FEEL the energy.

From the very beginning until the absolute end, my journey was beautiful, unforgettable, and so precious. However, it did not go without challenges and obstacles to overcome. The weeks, days, hours, and minutes can feel fleeting and as if they have no end all at the same time. “Selflessness”, in all the ways becomes the vibe… or at least that was my experience. I chose her over me. I chose attachment parenting. I chose to do things the way I wanted… the way that innately felt right for me.

As powerful and glorious as breastfeeding is, at the end of the day, what is paramount is that our babies are safe, loved, and full. Fed truly is best.

Gosh y’all… I’ve been failing pretty epically at posting this month 🙈

The truth is, I’ve been doing a little photo discovery over the last few weeks. While spending a lot of my “downtime” thinking, contemplating, researching where I want to be with my business next year, five and even ten years from now. Really honing in on what my vision is for myself and ultimately, my clients. I’m very much looking forward to the path I’ve chosen to wander and share with you all.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shown my face in the feed and I’ve welcomed many new followers over the last few months.

Whether you’re here as a client, photographer shopper, friend, family, fellow creator, or maybe you simply like pretty pictures… whatever your reason, thank you for being here. 🤍

We celebrated the day of 4th of July frolicking through this luscious lavender farm. It was gorgeous, smelled incredible, and HOT! Full, high, direct, harsh sunlight all afternoon. Despite the heat, we had so much fun!! ☀️

Indigo Lavender Farms really is a gem 💎 We enjoyed picking our own lavender bouquet, admired the busy bees at work, and finished our visit with the most scrumptious lavender ice cream! If you have never visited, it is a MUST!

I cannot wait for this weekend when I can share a golden hour experience here with a few incredible clients! 💜

I began outdoor photography in harsh, bright, direct sun… not ideal for most photographers. This kind of light can be extremely difficult to not only shoot in but also edit. 😅

Through practice and education, I’ve learned how to control the setting to create some of the dreamiest images.

Look at that G L O W 😍😍😍

I’m for sure golden hour’s fan girl, but I can make room for that noon-o’clock sun too. ☀️
