This is why I love photographing dancers — they know how to move, how to bring emotion into a frame, and how to turn a simple portrait into something that feels completely alive.

Everyone talks about Vermont in October.

But late August deserves a little respect.

Deep greens. Warm evenings. Wildflowers hanging on. Soft golden light getting earlier every night. That tiny hint that fall is coming without the world being completely orange yet.

It might be one of Vermont’s most underrated times for portraits.

My goal when editing a portrait is not to turn someone into a different person.

I want great skin to still look like skin.
I want expressions to stay real.
I want people to recognize themselves.

Polished and authentic can absolutely exist in the same photograph.
