Far gone or far out?Ā 

The 70's Raleigh Sprite 10-speed says maybe both.

Rusty bones, dry tires, but the soulā€™s still good AND parts are on the way to bring it back, along with a few extras for those left in the fleet patiently awaiting some well-deserved TLC.

New rubber, fresh bar tape, proper pedals... and maybe some bigger tires to let these road bikes wander off the beaten path a bit more.

A couple of classic vintage bikes from the back of the garage. Both are receiving a careful tune so they shift, brake, and roll smoothly ā€” ready for casual rides around town or along the canal path.

The Raleigh Space Rider is a 1970s three-speed with a smaller frame, perfect for teens, smaller riders, or anyone who wants a versatile vintage bike with 3 gears making it great for short and long rides.

The Schwinn is also a 1970's vintage steel road bike with drop bars. It's lightweight and simple, with the classic comfortable geometry these older Schwinns are known for. Itā€™s an easy, stable ride on flat streets, bike paths, or the canal towpath.

Each bike is available with a fresh tune-up.

$100 each with freshly adjusted brakes, shifters, and hubs.

Upgrades available upon request

Two more Schwinns rolled in ā€” oneā€™s ready to ride once the shifters and brakes get a quick tune up, the other just needs fresh tires, and itā€™ll be cruising again in no time.

This little project keeps rolling along, and I love seeing these old frames about to find new homes and new streets to roam. Iā€™ve got a few ready to roll out soon, so if youā€™re hunting for a simple city ride or a vintage gem with good bones, keep an eye here.
