2025 has been a year of incredible travel opportunities, of meeting old and new friends around the world, and of really digging deep into the images that make me feel something. I do think that Iā€™ve grown a centimeter closer to being able to capture the connection and heart of my subjects. But they say the more you learn, the more you realize how little you knowā€¦ and I feel this šŸ™ƒ Iā€™m learning that your artistic voice isnā€™t necessarily just how you edit, and also that your editing can change and grow with you. It doesnā€™t have to stay the same forever, or even from session to session. Iā€™m learning that the work that makes my heart skip a beat is the work that captures something honest and imperfect. Onwards and upwards into 2026ā€¦ happy new year friends šŸ„°

This night almost didnt happen, but we couldnā€™t pass up the gorgeous evening, and Iā€™m so glad that we chose to go ahead and document this moment in time. Sometimes photographers can be intimidated by the teenage years, but let me tell you somethingā€¦

Just because theyā€™re older now doesnā€™t mean your love isnā€™t worth documenting.

They might fight it. They might roll their eyes. They might not wear what you ask.

But deep down they know you love them and they want you to keep wanting them.

Babies, toddlers, elementary years the love is scrumptious and bubbly and easy to capture. But these later years is when they are becoming the beautiful people they were born to be. Every stage is worth documenting and remembering when love is at the center ā¤ļø

Heather, I canā€™t wait to catch up with your third beautiful girl next month šŸ„°
