1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”
If ever there was a time to pray, it is now.
Pray over your family.
Pray over your children.
Pray over your finances.
Pray over your mind.
Pray over your purpose.
The enemy does not waste his attacks on people who are standing still. Often, the greatest battles come when God is preparing to do a mighty work in your life. Scripture warns us to stay sober-minded, alert, and watchful because the enemy is looking for opportunities to discourage, distract, deceive, and destroy.
But the passage does not end with fear—it continues with a call to resist him, standing firm in the faith, and a promise that God Himself will strengthen and establish His people.
