Bronwyn and Charlie deserver their own romcom, because their love story is just THAT sweet. After meeting in early 2020, they spent lockdown running across the Queensboro bridge every two weeks to see each other.

Obviously it only made sense to get married on the rooftop that overlooked the beginning of their love story, and the Ravel Hotel made sure the bridge was a centerpiece to their day. Bright florals matched the weather (hurrah for the first day that actually FELT like summer!), and made their reception feel like a glowing golden hour all evening.

I know we’re all being slammed with allergies this week so take a whiff of your Flonase and lock in to enjoy Liz & Mak’s’ GORGEOUS spring wedding. The color was off the charts here (just the way I like it), with bright, poppy bouquets, baby blue moments everywhere you look, and the most perfect cherry blossoms you could imagine. 🌸

Look, every wedding has gorgeous details, but the ones that actually stop you mid-scroll are the ones that we weren’t actually trying for.

Shany and Michael’s garden wedding had me swooning ALL DAY, but these two were genuinely so happy that the candids basically photographed themselves!

Spring really had Arrow Park feeling alive this weekend, I was so happy to see green on the trees and birds going crazy for Haley and Evan’s wedding on Saturday (and yes, I did open the bird app a few times - ospreys, titmice, and bluejays galore)!

Overcast cleared up just in time for their intimate ceremony, drenching everyone in the warmest sunlight. Evan’s brother officiated and Haley and Evan shared their own vows.

Arrow Park is such a gem of a venue. Hidden away in the woods, its giving tuscan villa with a dash of nostalgic summer camp. We had the whole afternoon before their friends arrived for the reception for photos on the beach, the iconic driveway, and throughout the estate. It is truly such a dream there with so much beautiful light and endless locations.

The rest of the day was the perfect party - an extended cocktail hour, giving family and friends time to relax and mingle, leading into the rest of the night of dinner, dancing, and a bonfire (because when you’re in the woods it is a MUST).

These last few weeks I’ve been reflecting, looking through old photos, and thinking quite a bit about what I do and why I do it.

As a photographer, I feel as though I have always had one of the biggest jobs in the room. Every event has a “main event” - the ceremony, the birthday cake coming out - the marker for the reason we’re all there in the first place. But at every event, celebration, party, there are also the people you have chosen to fill that space and share this celebration with.

Your wedding day is filled with moments you want to remember, people you’ll want to remember. Unique smiles and individual faces. Joy.
I understand the gravity of how lucky you are to have this day not only with your partner, but with so many people you love.

I want you to always have a photo of how proud your family looked. How happy each of you looked when you saw each other for the first time. I want to capture joy and love and laughter and everything in between that makes you and your people who they are. I want to capture the life that fills the room.

I want to do this job because I don’t want you to worry about forgetting.

The lovely Lynn & Peter: My last big wedding of the year!

Lynn and Peter spent the morning together in a suite at the Arlo, but Peter headed out just before Lynn got in her dress. We had their first look outside, and headed over to Brooklyn Winery. This venue, before their relocation, was one of my favorites and I’m stoked that their new location is just as cozy and beautiful as the old. Their ceremony was bright with the most thoughtful vows, and cozy with warmth and love.

Throughout the night, we heard their friends and family call them a power couple over and over, and tbh they were so right for that. Both musicians, Lynn and Peter decided to surprise their guests during the first dance with jumping in with their band and playing bass and drums - it was so much fun!
