“What keeps life fascinating is the constant creativity of the soul.”
― Deepak Chopra, Life After Death: The Burden of Proof

The experience of "beauty" often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being. Because this is a subjective experience, it is often said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Exited to collaborate with dancer and choreographer Ty Parmenter on his piece for Festival Ballet Providence “How We Got the Starts” a unique dance performance that uses narrative instead of music. Providence storyteller Valerie Tutson will be tonight live telling this beautiful African folk tale. The most interesting thing for me when designing the lightning was to translate the atmosphere I felt when listening to the story of light and darkness from Valerie’s voice and the rhythm I perceived from Ty’s choreography.
It was also a challenge to be intentional on letting an space for the audience to add their own meaning and sensibilities. Enjoy some stills from the rehearsal

Announcing Italy tour of my new project "Dance the Language of Humanity"

The cities I am going to visit are Rome, Napoli and Florence.

This is an ongoing project that will travel around the world and cultures to search for communications links among humans.

As I have been doing in my latest photography series I will be collaborating with dancers to capture the language of movement and explore Humanity in today's world.

In collaboration with Anna Pavlova Association, ACSI, and renowned Italian choreographer Dino Carano, Artistic Director of ACSI Dance Division, a casting call for dancers in Italy is open until March 31st.

This is a very collaborative project and dancers with interest in improvisation and artistic creation are encourage to apply.

Italian photographer and videographer Antonio Azurro will be documenting the photo sessions and participating dancers.

This week has been very significant for me.
I was presented the Art Entrepreneur of the Year Award by The Minority Enterprise Development Committee of WNC.
It was very inspiring to hear stories of immigrants and African Americans that by overcoming their own fears and limitations are succeeding on their field. Small business owners that offer services to the community, provide employment and inspire people with their work, creativity and passion.
I feel honored to be part of this community which now is a minority but not for long and I hope more and more people get to know how important it is that regardless of our origins, differences and color skin we support each other to create driving communities.
I moved to NC five years ago From Miami and before that my longest conversation in english was with my beautiful mother in law Peg Kaczmarski who was patience enough to listen to me and give me the confidence to express myself in a language that was totally different from the one I grow up with.
In Asheville I experienced frozen days and I also saw pastel flowers in spring for the first time. I have made friendships that have touched my heart forever and I have had the live changing experience to collaborate with amazing and passionate artist.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Zurilma Anuel, Scott Thompson, Biljana Kroll, Heather Maloy, Sara Fields, John Cram, Lisa Reeves Fox, Jess McCuan, Melanie McGee Bianchi, Sonia Hendrix, JeanAnn Taylor, R Brooke Priddy Conrad. Thank you for open doors for me, thank you for your support and friendship!!! Blessings for all of you😍🌠😀😀☀️
