Liggett Hall archway connecting Governors Island historic district and the newly designed park is open again after it was closed for the installation of Jacob Hashimoto’s Never Comes Tomorrow. The work draws anyone walking through into the vortex-like nature of the passageway while showcasing the artist’s architectural, historical and cosmology interest. This impressive work is one of two installations with Hashimoto’s The Eclipse in nearby Chapel of St. Cornelius. Both installations will be available for enjoyment through October 31st, 2018. However, the Chapel of St. Cornelius is only open Monday through Friday 10:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm according to the Governors Island website. Photos of the Hashimoto’s The Eclipse will be coming early next week, but you can see the work before then by visiting the island.
