To all of my friends, family, and wonderful photography clients I’ve met through the years…
I know I haven’t been posting much, running specials, or doing much of anything business-related lately. It’s been a minute, so I wanted to take a moment to check in and let you all know that I’m still here—just moving through life in a little bit of a different capacity right now.
Life certainly has a way of throwing curveballs. Some of you who have stayed in regular contact with me may know a little about what my family has experienced this summer. I’m not going to share the personal details here, but our family dynamics have changed in some pretty dramatic and life-altering ways. It has been heartbreaking, difficult, and, at times, incredibly overwhelming.
But we are finding our way.
My children and I are doing better than okay. We are finding a new rhythm in this beautiful life and discovering a new path forward. Through all of it, I have been reminded just how much kindness, prayer, understanding, trust, and love can mean when life feels uncertain.
So, to everyone who has continued to reach out, check on us, send kind words, pray for us, or simply give me patience and understanding—I truly cannot thank you enough.
And to my photography families: I appreciate you more than you know. I genuinely love the families I have had the privilege of working with over the years. Even when I’m quiet, I celebrate your milestones, your accomplishments, your growing families, and all of the beautiful moments you share with me. I continue to pray for many of you and am incredibly grateful that you have allowed me to be a small part of your stories.
Now, the business side of things…
My life has changed, and so has my schedule.
I am now working a primary job Monday through Friday from 8:15–5:00. And as always, I am Mom first. ❤️
My evenings are much more limited than they used to be because I want to make sure I am giving my family the time and attention they deserve. Family comes first, as it should.
I am also trying to be more intentional about making sure I don’t miss the little, meaningful moments with my children especially Wes. Those moments matter, and I want to be present for them. We all know how fast our children grow.
That means photography currently has to fit into the spaces around my family and my primary job.
I am doing my best to keep up with messages, requests, editing, teasers, galleries, and everything else that comes along with running a photography business. It can be challenging, and unfortunately, my turnaround time is where I have felt the biggest impact.
I have limited time available in the evenings, so much of my editing is now being done on weekends. Please keep that in mind when booking with me.
I completely understand if my current schedule or turnaround time means that my services may not be the right fit for you right now. There is absolutely no hard feeling in that. Life changes, circumstances change, and sometimes we have to adjust.
But to those of you who continue to choose me, support me, trust me, and remain patient with me—thank you.
I am learning more and more that loyalty, trust, and love are some of the most meaningful things we can give one another. I am incredibly grateful for the loyalty you have shown my work, the love you have given my little business, and the trust that I will always do my best to come through for you.
Photography is something I truly love. It has been a part of my life for many years, and I am not walking away from it. I’m simply learning how to do it differently.
