When the photographer just wants some nice photos of her own children but gets this instead 🙄

This photo turned out to be my favorite from our session. I have several beautiful shots of them posing, and a bunch of candids of them just being themselves, but this one is just so special and I’m not sure I can even tell you why!

We always tend to want those perfect shots with everyone smiling and looking at the camera for the holiday cards, but sometimes the best photos end up being the ones we DON’T envision, the moments caught in between the posing instructions.

For the record, this photo was on the front of my 2023 holiday card! I love when perceived imperfection ends up actually being perfect ❤️
