Wellllll… busy season is officially here and apparently I decided I needed to book my entire life in the next two months. 😂📸

September is COMPLETELY BOOKED and October is pretty much there too! 🫣

I absolutely HATE turning people away. Like seriously… telling someone “I’m booked” is one of my least favorite things ever. But unfortunately, there are going to be times when I just physically cannot fit another session into my schedule without also forgetting to sleep, eat, or be a functioning human. 😂

So if I ever have to tell you I can’t get you in, please know I’m not just going to leave you hanging! I will always try to send you to someone I know and trust who can hopefully get you on their calendar. ❤️

Which brings me to Dee! Owner of Simply Captured Photography 👇🏻

Dee is a fellow photographer and someone I work with pretty often! We collaborate, bounce ideas off each other, talk photography, support each other’s businesses, and occasionally probably send each other messages that start with “okay, hear me out…” 😂

She’s an amazing photographer, an incredible mama, and an even better friend. So if my calendar is full and I can’t squeeze you in, Dee is absolutely someone I will happily send you to! I trust her, I love her work, and I know you’ll be taken care of. ❤️

And honestly… this is your friendly reminder that if you’ve been thinking about booking pictures with me for later this year, do not wait until the last minute. 😂😂

Happy Labor Day! 🤍

A little late to the post because apparently Labor Day doesn’t mean no labor over here 😂

I had two sessions today, delivered 3 galleries, came home and tackled laundry, got the girls’ stuff all ready for school tomorrow, and now I’m cooking dinner. So basically… I’m ending Labor Day exactly how I started it…working! 😂

I hope everyone had a safe, fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend! And a special thank you to all of the hardworking men and women! ❤️

Now excuse me while I go finish dinner and pretend I’m not already counting down until bedtime. 😂

A brand new baby. A very proud big sister. A family growing by one. 🤍

I absolutely loved getting to document these first days at home with my cousin and her beautiful little family. There’s something so special about capturing all the tiny details and ordinary moments that you’ll someday realize were the moments you wanted to remember most.

Those baby toes, the sleepy cuddles, big sister’s little hands, and everyone piled together in their own home. 🥹🤍

🎬 ONE WEEK. 🎬

One week from today, two complete strangers are going to meet for the very first time… in front of my camera. 😂📸

And I have to say, the more I learn about these two individually, the more excited I get about this.

They’re both lovers of God. Both have fun, bubbly personalities. Both seem to have that “life is too short to take everything so seriously” kind of energy. And most importantly, they’re BOTH adventurous enough to say, “Sure, why not?” when asked to step completely outside their comfort zones and meet a total stranger for a photoshoot. 😂

There are already SO many little similarities between them that have me 👀… but I’m keeping some of those to myself for now.

Because next weekend, we get to find out what happens when you put two people who have never met in the same room and say…

“Okay, now let’s take some pictures.” 😂

Will they instantly click?
Will it be awkward?
Will they laugh the entire time?
Will there be chemistry? 👀
Or will I be questioning every life decision that led me to this moment? 😂

Either way, I am SO excited to document this entire experience.

The strangers meet in ONE WEEK.

Just a little fall outfit inspiration for anyone planning family photos this season! 🤎

These are just a few examples of the different color combinations, textures, and styles you can put together for fall photos. You definitely don’t have to have everyone in the exact same colors or matching outfits! Mixing creams, browns, rusts, greens, tans, plaids, and cozy textures can make everything coordinate beautifully while still letting everyone have their own style. 🍁

And PLEASE don’t stress if you have no idea what everyone should wear! 😂 I am always happy to help! If you want to send me pictures of things you already have in your closet, I can help you put outfits together, figure out what colors would work best, or help you find pieces that coordinate.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on what to expect from Harmony Photography over the next couple of months! 📸✨

🍂 SEPTEMBER:
September is pretty much BOOKED! 🙌🏼 If you’re really needing or wanting a specific session this month, PLEASE reach out today so I can see what I can do!

🎃 OCTOBER:
October is all about FALL MINIS! 🍁🤎
I currently have:
✨ One date with ONE spot left
✨ Another date with TWO spots left
✨ A third date with quite a few openings

And of course, if none of those dates work for you, reach out anyway! We can always see if we can find another date that works. 🫶🏼

I’ll also be booking Halloween & Spooky Minis throughout October, no specific dates for those.🎃👻 I already have some fun ideas in mind, but I’m ALWAYS open to your ideas too! If there’s something spooky, fun, creepy, cute, or completely outside the box you’ve been wanting to do, send it my way! 😂🖤

🎄 NOVEMBER & DECEMBER:
Christmas minis will be coming! 🎅🏼🎄 Keep an eye out for dates and details.

🚨 TONIGHT’S SESSIONS ARE RESCHEDULED 🚨

One little fun fact about your photographer: I have HORRIBLE storm anxiety. 😂

Like… when the weather starts acting like this, I am physically incapable of focusing on literally anything else. Editing? Nope. Emails? Nope. Cleaning? Absolutely not. My entire brain is just sitting there like, “ARE WE ALL GOING TO DIE?!” 😂

So, I’m going to go ahead and reschedule all of tonight’s sessions. I’ll message everyone individually tonight once things calm down a little more and we can figure out a new date/time that works!

And listen… if you’re looking at this weather and thinking, “You know what? I don’t even need back-to-school pictures anymore.” 😂 That’s totally fine too! We can switch it up and do a completely different session.

Because apparently Mother Nature has decided photography is cancelled for the evening. 😂🌪️

I CANNOT believe we are less than a week away from the first day of school (even though some of y’all have already started) 😭📚✏️

I feel like summer took 87 years but also somehow flew by in 3 days. 😂

May the teachers have patience, the parents have coffee, the kids remember where they put their shoes, and everyone survive the first week. 🙏🏼🤣
