I am mostly guided by intuition, simply being in the presence of what is. There are many great photographers and artists that serve as sources of my inspiration as well.

More photos from my Door County trip earlier this month. Our last stop was Cana Island Lighthouse. It was very windy. I loved the cloudy sky and waves on Lake Michigan. There were so many Mayflies which can be seen as little specks in the sky (if you zoom into the picture)

A glorious spring day at the Flambeau river near Ladysmith, WI. We had cooler temperatures in May which was very welcomed as this made for a long springtime with these beautiful, colorful trees

From last week's trip to Door County. Schoolhouse beach on Washington Island was so pristine and the colors of the water in Lake Michigan were incredible! There were signs everywhere not to take any of the rocks - I can see why! I have never seen such smooth, white rocks - quite special!

One of the highlights of my trip to Door County, Wisconsin was the visit to the "Stavkirke" on Washington Island. It is foremost a place for meditation and worship and is open daily. It was built in the 90ties in an ancient style of church construction common in Norway during medieval times. No nails have been used in the building! It's a tribute to Washington Island's Scandinavian heritage. Right next to the church you will find a prayer path through the woodland and a labyrinth - a very peaceful and beautiful spot all in all!
