A little emotional today, so just bear with me! 🫶🏼
I just want to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the patience, understanding, and grace my clients have shown me as I learn to navigate the busiest year I’ve ever had since starting photography. 🤍
I’m a chronic people pleaser, so when I feel like I’ve let a client down whether a gallery takes longer than they hoped or I fall behind because business is busy and life happens it hurts me waaaay more than they probably realize.
Learning how to balance my busiest seasons has not been easy. There are learning curves. There are times when I’m right on schedule, and there are times when I get behind. But at the end of the day, I am always trying my hardest and so many of my clients continue to support, encourage, and believe in me through it all.
Have I lost clients along the way? Absolutely.
Does that break my heart? 100%.
But the only thing I can do is learn, keep going, and continue finding better ways to balance everything as I grow.
Will I ever quit? Absolutely NOT!
The feeling of giving people the chance to relive moments they can never get back makes every sleepless night worth it. It makes staying up until 2:00 a.m. to finish a gallery or waking up at 4:00 a.m. to edit before heading to my full-time job worth it.
What no one sees are the tears, stress, and anxiety that sometimes come with those late nights and early mornings. They don’t see how much pressure I put on myself, how badly I want to make every client happy, or how hard I take it when I feel like I’ve fallen short. I don’t share that for sympathy, but simply to say that I care deeply probably more than most people realize.
There is so much that happens behind the scenes beyond simply showing up and taking pictures. But every bit of it is worth it when I know I’m providing snapshots of a season in someone’s life that they’ll never get to experience in quite the same way again.
I say all of that to say this:
Am I a perfect photographer? NOT EVEN CLOSE.
Am I the most talented photographer in the world? NOPE.
Do I show up and try every single day? Absolutely.
I love what I do, and I love the amazing people I get to meet while doing it. I’m learning. I’m growing. I’m improving. And I’m incredibly thankful for every client who continues growing right alongside me.
Your patience, support, understanding, and grace mean more to me than you’ll ever know. Thank you for allowing me to capture the moments that mean the most to you. 🤍📸
