*Edited to add- this post is NOT necessarily directed at any particular person, but thank you for those reaching out who have fallen guilty. We love our jobs, as hectic as it may be at times, and we know that most people are not being malicious!
Please share:
Theft: A topic we didn't want to bring up- but has become more and more of an issue over the years.
👍Being proud and excited about your child's school photos and posting a watermarked screen shot is one thing. ( honestly we don't mind so much, because we are happy you loved the photo!)
😡👎Posting a screenshot that you used AI to remove the watermark, and bragging about how you did it- well that kinda burns.
Here's the thing, it's THEFT. As in, ILLEGAL👮. You're not only stealing from us, you are stealing from your school. You'd be surprised to know just how much of our income is donated back to your school.
It's no different that walking into Walmart and stealing an item right off the shelf.
I'm not going to publicly shame the ones who do it, but what I WILL start doing is sending out invoices for payment when this happens.
On my personal page there are always posts from people I don't know (Facebook's new algorithm) and the number of posts I see with stolen images is growing more by the day. On top of that I have friends who send me screenshots of the ones bragging about how they used AI to steal them.
If you're honestly in a bad financial spot and can't afford your child's photos, call us. We will help you out- but please stop stealing from us. We aren't a huge company- we are a small business in Haralson County doing our best to get by while also doing our best to document your child's school years.
