I'm caught up with editing, and so I spent time relaxing with the bees in the beautiful hot sun. I also ordered my first pair of butterfly wings from Meri Meri for next year's fairy garden session (photo in the comments). This is the first half of Tucker's photo. In October, we're going to do some photos at the family farm. 'm looking forward to those. I like catching the industry of harvest. Tucker is a good-looking young man with a depth of character that quickly shine through. He's still debating what he wants to do after graduation, but for now he's devoting his attention to the upcoming football season. Go Blue Jays!

This session marked the end of a trilogy. Atlas is the youngest of three siblings, and after photographing each of them for their senior portraits, it was finally his turn.
Nothing fuels creativity quite like travel, and Atlas spent his summer exploring Europe with the high school music department. He has a passion for music, theater, and visual art, and after graduation, he plans to pursue a career as a tattoo artistā€”a path that reflects his artistic spirit.
Atlas arrived with thoughtful ideas of his own, and nature gave us an incredible gift: dramatic storm clouds with glowing light. It's my absolute favorite kind of light.
Congratulations, Atlas, on reaching this milestone. Your creativity, confidence, and individuality are gifts, and I can't wait to see how you leave your mark on the world.

Brady is a gifted athlete. We took football and baseball photos this week, and we will be doing hockey photos this fall. I love pics of baseball players sliding into home base, and I think Brady was one of the best at it. We got the picture I posted here on the very first try! I asked Tanya, his mom, to throw on some extra dirt as he slid. It's fun to work as a team with parents and the senior, and the results are always so good when everyone helps out. :)
Brady hasn't decided yet what he wants to do after graduation, but he has lots of great options, including playing hockey.

I remember Carson as a little boy, and my goodness, was he cute. It's amazing when I see these seniors--after not seeing them for a few years- and all of a sudden they are so grownup and handsome. Carson is a great young man with a kind heart. He is a life guard this summer at TRAC, and when I asked if he yells at the kids, he told me that when possible he prefers to walk over to the kids and gently tell them to stop running. I liked that answer. Although Carson isn't sure about what degree he wants to pursue, I know he'll do well. He has a good head on his shoulders, and a wonderful, wonderful family to love and support him.

When talking with Sheri about Tyler's pics, we talked about what Tyler enjoys. Sheri mentioned how much he loved hanging out with his friends. As part of his session we spent about 30 minutes with his friends hanging out at Hillcrest Golf Course. We put those pics in a separate album so that all six of them could have a copy.

I am a historian. That's my number one value as a photographer, and the more senior photos preserve a real and complete story, the happier I am. I've known Tyler since he was a little boy, and so I have had more than one chance to do that. He is respectful and interesting to talk to, and I am honored to have gotten the chance to record his greatness.
