When I announced that a new name was coming, many of you asked... Why Stillwater?

The answer has very little to do with photography and everything to do with the journey that brought me here.

Over the past couple of years, life has looked very different than I ever expected. There were moments of uncertainty, grief, growth, rebuilding, and learning to trust God in ways I never had before. During that season, God kept revealing and reminding me of a passage.

Psalm 23 showed up in my life so many times, in devotion, on random videos the kids were watching, signs in stores, old journals, and on my radio. It took almost a whole year for me to realize that God was promising this to ME.

Those words reminded me that peace isn't found in a life without storms. It's found in knowing the One who faithfully leads us through them. The name Stillwater Portrait Co. is a reminder of that promise. It's a reminder that beautiful things can grow from difficult seasons. That restoration is possible.
That peace is something we can be led into and that God is faithful in every season!

While the name has changed, the heart of this business hasn't.
Every school.
Every team.
Every family.
Every child who steps in front of my camera...They deserve photographs that preserve not just how life looked, but how it felt.

I'm incredibly grateful for where I've been, and even more excited for what is ahead!

Welcome to **Stillwater Portrait Co.**

This name represents so much more than a new logo or a new look. It's the beginning of a new chapter, built on everything this business has been and everything it's becoming. While the name has changed, the mission hasn't.

The same relationships.
The same commitment.
The same passion for preserving childhood, celebrating milestones, and serving the schools, families, and communities that have trusted me over the years.

I want to be very clear! This rebrand isn't about starting over or about leaving mistakes behind...It's about building forward with a new name that reflects my personal and business life changes!

In a few days, I'd love to share why the name *Stillwater* means so much to me! Thank you for continuing this journey with me.

Over the last four years, Austin & Austin Photography has grown in ways I never could have imagined. When I first stepped into the world of volume photography, I was learning everything as I went. What started as a small opportunity quickly grew into serving schools, sports leagues, families, and communities across our area. While I am incredibly grateful for that growth, the truth is that I was building the plane while flying it.

Over the past 4 years, I have also faced some of the most difficult personal challenges of my life. As a result, there have been times when communication and turnaround times have not met the standard that I expect from myself or that you deserve from me. For that, I sincerely apologize.

I am aware of the frustrations some clients have experienced, and I take full responsibility for them. While there were circumstances behind the scenes that contributed to those struggles, I never want those circumstances to become excuses.

To those who have shown patience, grace, encouragement, and continued support during this season, thank you. Your kindness has meant more than you know.

The challenges of the last year have also given me an opportunity to step back, evaluate every part of this business, and build something stronger. I’ve spent countless hours reviewing systems, workflows, communication processes, and the overall client experience. Because of that, exciting changes are ahead.

Over the coming months, you’ll begin to see significant improvements in communication, organization, and turnaround times as I prep for the upcoming school season. You’ll also see the beginning of a new chapter for this company, including a full rebrand and name change that better reflects where I am today and where this business is headed in the future. While the name may change, the heart behind this business never will.

I am deeply grateful for every family, athlete, student, coach, teacher, administrator, and client who has trusted me to capture important moments over the years. It is a privilege I never take for granted.Thank you for continuing to support this small business through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. I am incredibly excited for what comes next, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
