Over the past several days, it’s been hard to think about posting as usual. Like so many others, my heart has been with our communities in Upshur and Lewis Counties as they’ve walked through the devastation left behind by the flooding.

I’ve been praying for everyone whose lives have been turned upside down. This morning, I spent some time reading God’s word, and these verses brought me comfort.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (NLT)

To everyone affected: you have not been forgotten. We will continue to pray for strength, comfort, and hope for our communities. 🙏🏻💙🫶🏼
