Shane and Beth - Buffalo, NY

I met Shane after inviting him to record a video podcast interview at my parents house back in 2021 and we instantly hit it off. Sharing similar music taste, comedic influences, and love of all things creative, we really connected after that conversation and stayed in touch on social media ever since, rooting eachother on from our respective cities.

Shane is a Rochester native with college time spent in Buffalo NY and was introduced to me by fellow Rochester native through his music of .

I was instantly hooked.

Time passed and I was meaning to get out and see his band in Rochester or Buffalo, but the stars never ended up aligning (I still haven't seen them tbh) until Shane asked if I would capture his wedding. I instantly knew this was a day I would love to be a part of.

I met Beth over social media at first, then in person at this engagement shoot in December of 2022. She's just as goofy, fun, and creative as I know Shane to be. Their connection was obvious and as strong as I've seen between two people.

The day was cold, windy, could've been miserable, but with our collective positivity and laughter, it was so much fun and went by faster than I expected. It was great.

Their wedding was in May of 2023 and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. (Glass coke-a-cola bottles and bottle opener keychains were genius btw)

So thank you Shane and Beth for allowing me to capture your special day and I hope that the life you build together is as fun and creative as I know you both are.

Bowie Mink - Buffalo, NY

Following the summer of 2022 and after being born and raised in WNY, my parents packed up and moved across the country, leaving me to find another living space in Buffalo.

Thanks to a great group of supportive friends, I found a place in the city to call my own, but was living alone at first and still felt like I needed a companion.

At the same time, one of my mutual follows on instagram had posted about having extra kittens they were looking to give new homes. I debated it at first, saying I was interested, but not sure if I could make it work with where I was financially.

But one day that all went out the window. As I was doing editing work at home, I thought I saw a mouse run across my floor and into my closet.

This flipped the switch.

I ran to the closest store, grabbed several different kinds of mousetraps, and immediately realized I could not only use a buddy, but also a pest controlling security guard.

And that was it. In November I messaged them about meeting the two kittens they had left and by the next day, Bowie was a part of the family. (I decided on Bowie because I wasn't sure of her gender at first so figured that was a good androgynous middle ground)

Initially there was some hesitation and getting used to, as all animals in new environments tend to have, but at almost a year old now, she has settled into a light in my life I don't know what I would do without.
