Another day filled with sunshine, creativity, and photography! 📸☀️

I spent the afternoon capturing moments at the Allentown West Art Festival and the Burchfield Penny Art Center Gala. It was a busy day surrounded by incredible art, talented artists, and a wonderful community. I can't wait to share some of my favorite highlights from these events soon!

The last day in Vienna😢 . Today was just as amazing as the others! Today we started off with going to Schönbrunn Palace for a guided tour and a glimpse into the history of our the royalty of Vienna lived. It was incredible! All the gold leafing, the elaborate paintings and the extravagant beds and bedding. After the palace tour, we went to the gardens and the flowers and the fountain was just so beautiful to walk through. It felt like I was walking through a fairytale. And then we went to a Strudel making demonstration. (I may or may not know how to make an Austrian strudel 😉) and then after a there was a trip to the lower Belvedere where there was a great exhibition of Annie Albers’ textiles, paintings, and Medieval painting. All were absolutely amazing! And then after the walk around of the Lower Belvedere somehow I was able to time things just right to go to mass at the Beautiful baroque Church. It was an amazing experience! Ending the night with another delicious dinner and a fabulous Mozart concert. Vienna, was a wonderful place to experience, to see, and spend time in. The few days I was here was not enough. My time in Vienna will always be remembered. I can say for certain that I will be returning to Vienna someday because I fell in love with this amazingly beautiful place! .

Day two in Vienna was amazing! I have fallen in love hard with this place. Today we headed to a Jesuit church, Upper Belvedere to see the Gustav Klimt exhibition and I saw his famous piece, The Kiss, along with his other amazing works. After an amazing tour of the museum and seeing the palace, we did a gold workshop where we created work inspired by Klimt's works. After that, a few fellow travelers took a horse and buggy ride around town and then a tour of the Sisi Museum, which was about the wife of the emperor of Vienna. After that, we had free time and strolled around shopping, stopping by a camera store with an excellent photo gallery. I stopped into a museum about the cathedral, and then we went off for dinner where I had delicious food and drink.

Day one in Vienna was amazing! The city is wonderful, full of history, design, and an incredible, lively daily life. The love of dance, music, and food is all around. As soon as I stepped off the plane, everything felt right. We started with a wonderful walking tour, learning about Vienna's history from the days of the emperor to WWII. The fun part that really immersed me in the culture was when the tour guide took us to try different food, drinks, and a music festival-type event, which showed us how people live in Vienna. After the amazing tour, we went to Prater Amusement Park to ride one of the oldest Ferris wheels. We ended the night with a delicious dinner at a beer garden and an organ concert at a cathedral in the city center. It was an incredible first day! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the trip will bring.

The last day in Paris was amazing! The weather was beautiful and starting the day with another trip to Notre Dame to see if I could get inside. And it was the perfect time to go I was able to walk right is and was greeted with an awe inspiring sight! It was a total dream come true! It was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! Then after that we spent the day in Versailles walking through the palace seeing the hall of mirrors the rooms of Henry the XIV and Marie Antoinette. Wandered through the gardens and just seeing all the fountains, and walkways was an incredible sight. It honestly felt like I was walking through a movie set. Then a little wine tasting and then ending the day with one final trip to the Notre Dame to see the outside and the inside one more time. And then a nice walk along the Seine at Sunset. Paris was amazing an dream. Even though it was only three days it felt like a week. But the trip is not over! The first part is over the next part is just beginning! In just a few more hours I will be In Vienna on a whole new adventure!

Day two was another busy whirlwind of the day we started off with a wonderful tour of the Louvre. I was able to see some of the more famous pieces like the Wing Nike, the Venus de Milo the Mona Lisa, the wedding feast that Canaan and sculptures that were just so incredible that it was hard to believe I was looking at them in real life. And then later in the day we went to the Musee d’Orsay and that was just incredible as well. I was able to stand face-to-face with van Gogh‘s work, absolutely beautiful to see, and then I was able to stand in front of my favorite impressionist painter of Degas. Experiencing these works in person was just something unforgettable and more real than just reading about them and studying them in a text . And then in the evening, I spent the relaxing time sitting, enjoying the sunset by the Eiffel Tower, waiting for the lights to turn on. But the highlight of my day and one that I’ll never forget was going to see Notre Dame. This was just a such a surreal moment for me standing and seeing it in person it was just so beautiful and just beyond any picture I’ve ever seen I wasn’t able to go in because the line was so long, but just being able to stand outside and see it was just absolutely inspiring. I was also able to go and sit and eat some gelato outside of Notre Dame and just enjoy looking at it and marveling a the magnificent architecture. This was a long day, a busy day, but it was probably one of the best days in my entire life.

It has been whirlwind, wonderful magical and magnificent couple of days! It has been so busy that I honestly have no time to post updates. But here is the start. There will be more but this post will cover day one. After a smooth flight we jumped right into our tour of the city. Taking the outer ring road that leads into city Central we made a stop at the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées. It was really cool to be up and close with the arch that it was hard to believe I was standing under it and seeing all of the beautiful carvings the details were exquisite!
Then getting settled in a charming little hotel we navigated the metro. And went to Monmarte district to have delicious French dinner and do a little shopping. And there in Monmarte was the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre. And many of you know that I love going into churches, it has become part of my travels to get inside at least one. This was a beautiful basilica on the outside but the inside. Words cannot describe the beauty and magnificent mosaics and architecture. Walking around was a feast for the eyes! And then ending the day with seeing the sunset over Paris was really nice! And that is the end of the first day of my adventure. I will be posting more later because it just gets more exciting! And of course when I get home there will be more photos that are not just cell phones shots! So buckle up everyone you are going to come with me and see every detail, every place and silly photos of me on this trip! I hope you are excited!
