Hi friends! A little calendar update.

My late summer + fall calendar is almost completely full for the season! I only have room for 2 more sessions (full or petite) before I close my calendar.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me to photograph their family this year.

If family photos have been on your list for this fall, now’s the time to reach out! Once these last two spots are filled, I’ll officially be closing my calendar for the season.

I DO hope to offer holiday mini sessions in my studio, most likely in early November. I’ll keep you posted with details for those as I get everything planned and finalized!

They’re shorter, laid-back, and just enough time to capture some beautiful updated family photos.

One of the things I love most about photographing families is that no two sessions are ever the same.

Some kids are shy. Some are full of energy. Some want to tell me every fact they know about dinosaurs, and some just want to be held by Mom the whole time.

But that's the fun of it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My favorite photos aren't about getting everyone to look perfectly at the camera. They're about photographing your family exactly as you are in this season of life. Because years from now, those are the moments that will mean the most. 💛

Photo Tip Friday!

You know when you tell your kids to "smile!" for a photo and you get....that face that looks like a grimace or like they're in pain?

Yeah we want to avoid that face 🤣

So, instead of telling them to smile or "say cheese," ask them a funny question or tell them a joke. Tell them to make a funny face.

The genuine expressions that usually result are the best and what you'll want to remember ❤️

A little personal post today 🩵. One of my photos of my son and our dog, Ziggy, was recently published in a photography magazine, which is pretty exciting, but I'd love the photo just as much even if it never left my computer.

It was one of those everyday moments that didn't feel extraordinary at the time, but looking back on it now, it makes me so happy to have a photo of the two of them just hanging out on an ordinary day.
