One mom told me before her motherhood session that she was nervous her daughter would be really shy and just not that into the session...
Later during the session, she told me she had talked to some past clients of mine beforehand, and they all said something similar:
that during the session they felt chaotic, unsure, worried their kids werenāt cooperatingā¦
ā¦and then somehow the final gallery still felt beautiful and full of connection.
Honestly, thatās because Iām not looking for perfect behavior.
Iām looking for connection.
The little in-between moments.
The comfort, emotion, and love that already exists.
Kids do not need to stand still and smile perfectly for your memories to matter.
Some of the most meaningful images come from moments parents almost thought were āfailures.ā
And I think moms deserve to hear that more often. š¤
If youāve ever avoided photos because you were worried about your kids behaving perfectly⦠this is your reminder that they donāt have to.
