✨My name is Danica Jones (Barrois) I am a wife, step mama, and photographer. As I’m growing older and older I’m realizing pictures will be the only thing left in the end. I’ve watched loved ones pass and I’ve always wished I had a million more pictures of them.✨

iving my life married to my best friend. I am a “stay at home step momma” & I’m so thankful that my husband has given me the opportunity to do what I love. I am truly blessed✨
✨My passion is to take pictures, whether it be outdoors or indoors. I like to capture the MOMENT.✨
✨For those of you that know me, YES this is “Morning Star Photography” I’ve decided to change my business name. I chose morning Star at a younger age, when I was just starting with my camera and I feel like I needed something new, something more “ME”. Instead of morning Star I have changed the name to Southern Roots. I did this because of course, it has a ring to it, and also because I am from the most southern part of Louisiana. Eventually I will go more into depth about that, but for now, I will leave it as that.✨
