This year I grew my business a little differently. It wasn’t by booking more sessions or working more but by doing more of the things that make me better at what I do!

I collaborated with an incredible stylist + photographer friends.
Took an off-camera lighting workshop.
Committed to continuing education for my branding work.
Planned intentional work time with my business besties.
And planned a creative shoot for absolutely no reason other than it sounded FUN!

It turns out that growth isn’t always about doing more!

September might just be one of my favorite months for senior sessions. It definitely doesn’t mean fall temperatures just yet. But we still have sunshine and that gorgeous summer glow with long evenings!

Totally gives us the best of both worlds! Warmth and glow of summer with just a tiny hint of fall!

So if you’re trying to decide when to book your senior session…

Don’t sleep on September!

My first official Senior Sunday! 🥹

My girl has been in front of my camera since day one.
My little muse, the girl I practiced on and dressed up for all the random photo ideas that came to mind and even bribed her for all time times I would tell her“just ONE more Kiki.” She knows better lol! And now I’m taking her SENIOR pictures! After all these years, she still lets me photograph her and I don’t think she’ll ever fully understand what a gift that is to me! I’ve had the honor of watching so many kids grow up through my lens, but this one hits different! She will forever be one of my very favorite stories I’ve ever photographed!

I know that life is so busy but it’s important not to skip this season.

It’s always so busy getting the nursery ready, packing hospital bags, and counting down the days until you finally meet your little love. But this chapter is worth remembering too! You’re dreaming about who this little person will be, imagining what they’ll look like, and soaking in these last few weeks before everything changes and that’s what I love to capture!

Your beautiful baby bump, the way you look at each other, the excitement, the laughter, and all the little moments that you’ll want to remember years from now.

If you’re expecting, the sweet spot for maternity photos is between 28 to 34 weeks.
