It was a blistering hot July day when I met up with Stephanie and Ryan for their engagement shoot at Shelburne Farms, but embracing the heat as the sun set over the lake was the exact recipe we needed to create these magical images together. It didn't hurt one bit that these two are silly, sweet, and absolutely nailed the frolicking prompt I suggested. I cannot wait for more of this at their wedding next year ❤️

I think I'm truly in my element when I get to take a backseat, sneak around a reception like a detective, and get a little more creative with my shots. I never thought I'd be someone who proposes. After documenting so many moments of people saying yes, I somehow never thought about what my moment could look like. I love living vicariously through my people and my work. But everything changed when I met Adam. He's loved me so fiercely and supported me so much in the time we've known each other, and I can't think of a better way to show that love right back than by asking him to be my husband. And of course George needed to be a part of the moment too.

A huge shoutout to my longtime wedding bestie for helping me pull off the surprise proposal, be a master dog wrangler, and take amazing images we'll treasure forever. And for .reckord.jewelry for designing the perfect ring for it.

Neerja's Mehendi at her childhood home, in six words or less: joyful, vibrant, and full of love. It was so much fun to be a part of, especially when I whisked the couple away to Shelburne Farms for some sunset photos in the gardens. I'll be thinking about this celebration for a long time to come ❤️

Made a little trip down to Massachusetts last weekend to capture Amy and Chris at their new home for their engagement. We had the perfect spring golden hour evening to frolic in their backyard, pick dandelions, and have a sweet and silly time together.
