A chaotic and challenging 2020 did not slow down the farm. The new indoor equestrian center opened, enhancing and enriching lives by providing social opportunities and emotional support through equine-assisted activities and therapy. I am very excited to see what this new year will bring.

One of my favorite summer activities is photographing therapeutic horses. I took these photos while staying socially distanced. Thank you to the dedicated team who work hard to ensure that the farm is clean and maintained, even amid a pandemic.

At 2:30 a.m. on Christmas Day, I saw the Christmas spirit in action. Bread of Life hosted its annual Christmas Day Free Community Dinner sponsored by Dr. Ed Weiner and Dr. Jon Weiner along with Project Ezra, community volunteers, Temple Tiferet Shalom of the North Shore, and State Rep. Ken Gordon.

It was a beautiful day for the 15th Annual Burlington Education Foundation "Exercise for Education 5K and Family Fun Run". The event drew a large crowd of runners and walkers across our community to participate in this event. It is a great way to support the foundation that helps Burlington Public Schools.

Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Equestrian Center hosted its annual Kentucky Derby-themed Gala at the Tewksbury Country Club. Derby fans donned fascinators and bow ties and enjoyed a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, live music, a photo booth, an auction, and a wine pool.

On Sunday, I attended the Health Care Proxy & Living Will seminar organized by Indian Circle for Caring USA Inc. April 16th is the National Healthcare Decision Day (NHDD), an event to encourage everyone over age 18, to prepare their Health Care Proxy. A health care proxy is a legal document through which you appoint someone to make decisions about your medical care if you are unable to make those decisions for yourself. For India’s 70th Republic Day, the India Association of Greater Boston organized a cultural extravaganza. Competitions, live music and dance performances, food, and shopping were in full array with a focus on the history and culture of India.

Today, I photographed the annual Harvest Hoedown at the farm. All proceeds support equine-assisted programming, providing social opportunities and emotional support to children and adults with special needs, veterans, and individuals with substance abuse disorders. There was live country music by Jimmy Connor. Hoedown fans enjoyed a mouthwatering pig roast in addition to hay rides, face painting and other activities for kids.
