Tesla Semi production has officially begun at the new Tesla Semi factory in Sparks, Nevada. This fully electric semi-truck is expected to revolutionize short to medium-haul heavy trucking. The Tesla Semi has a range of 500 miles at its full legal gross weight of 82,000 pounds. That's double the range of the competition. Pepsi has been testing the Tesla Semi during its final stage of development. Many large shippers have standing orders in place, including Walmart, Costco, and DHL. Tesla has developed a 1.2 MegaWatt "Semi Charger" that companies will install at their warehouses. The Semi can be charged from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes, while the trailer is being loaded or unloaded. https://www.tesla.com/semi
