This week's assignment was to intentionally record the subject (an animal) smaller in the frame thereby generating "negative space". In my recent experience, there aren't many kinds of animals brave enough to get out in this weather. I was blessed today with the sighting of a beautiful bluejay and this cute little squirrel - from the warmth of my living room.

Today was a beautiful day to shoot in the snow. I have a new project for this year thanks to some dear friends of mine. 52 Assignments. First assignment-pictures of wildlife in my own backyard. There wasn't any wildlife moving in my yard, but these squirrels were posing for me at the park.
