I won't lie... I've been wanting to get this girl in front of my camera for YEARS, so when her feline sister came to visit, I was thrilled she came with! Her little smile didn't disappoint!

Enjoyed not only photographing this nugget, but spending the holiday weekend with him. He has a complete cleft palate, and possible neurological disorders that may be diagnosed as he grows, but he is just a little sassy snuggle honey. 💗💗💗 He may be available for adoption in the future through

These two handsome boys came to visit me yesterday. One is a senior and fearful of strange things (thunder noises, flashing lights like my strobe, etc). Sometimes it takes a bit of extra time, patience and reward to safely acclimate pets to a new, strange setting. We eventually got some great smiles out of both of them, and they left with their tails wagging.
Just like at the vet, one bad experience can lead to fear and reactivity in a similar situation for a long time, so it is important to establish a sense of security, even in the studio!

One looks a bit different on the outside, and one doesn't. Both were born with cleft palates, and therefore were not able to nurse safely on their mamas. While this was once something that was considered incompatible with life, my amazing friend has been raising these special pups and giving them a great shot at healthy, full lives for several years (my oldest Frenchie, Maple, is one of her cleft babies that she rescued and raised 4 years ago)! It's literally a full time job - she is up every two hours around the clock, over and over again when she gets a call. It takes a REALLY special person to do this.

Also, zoom in on the little guy's smile and see his PERFECT little TEEF!!!! These guys will both be adoptable in the coming weeks/months once they are cleared to be neutered.

7 years ago, this was Boots Wellington (yes, I named him that LOL) and today he is Louie, living his best life with an awesome family despite a couple of congenital defects. 💗

A few of my favorite outtakes from our fundraiser session yesterday (and that silly little yorkie-poo in the first photo is about to be adoptable)! Thanks so much to everyone who participated - we raised $300 for Underdog Rescue, MN's community pet food initiative to supply and deliver food and pet essentials to twin cities families who are unable to get their own right now, keeping pets and families who love them together. 💗
