...and last but not least, finally caught up with my weekend with the 2026 AVHS Senior Party. There's a reason that I love this event. There's a reason that for a few years, I would photograph 3 graduations and then drive right to this event. That reason is one more day with these kids, just a few more hours is worth just about anything, including exhaustion.

Every time that I see kids running around at .hillman, I have to think to myself that if my parents took me to mud events, maybe I wouldn't have raised the kind of hell that I did as a kid. I might have a methanol addition and be a whole different person today. I guess things all work out as they should.

.hillman is easily my favorite day of the year! Yes, there are some incredible machines that show the master level of craftsmanship and engineering that goes into these builds. Yes, the races are fun to watch (and often more exciting than my cardiologist would like for me to participate in). Those aren't the reasons I spend 364 days looking forward to Mudfest Hillman every year. The number one reason I love this event is the people. I spent more time trudging through the campgrounds than I have in years previous and everyone I talked to was genuinely happy to have me at their campsite. So many people in the crowds that would instantly light up when my lens pointed in their direction. All of y'all are so incredibly welcoming and genuinely nice people that I'm not sure how I lived nearly the first 50 years of my life without you in it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, people of Mudfest. Y'all are the best folk on the planet and that is 100% a hill I would die on.

Today was a celebration that I'm honored to attend every year. This was the AVID senior celebration at AVHS. If you're unfamiliar with AVID, it is a program which not only helps first generation college bound students meet the requirements and apply to colleges, but the kids also invest several years into being successful once that transition is made. These kids 100% work harder than 95% of the other students. The skills they learn during AVID will serve them long into their adult careers.

Images from the 2026 AVHS Theater Banquet are up! I know I've said it 100 times before and you'll probably hear it 100 times more, I love working with this group. The amount of support that these kids and their families have shown me during my recovery is incredible. Last night was my opportunity to repay them for all of their concern and love. I appreciate you guys!

What better way to prove to myself that I'm ready to get back to all the same physical demands of my job than 9 hours of MMA fights? Hint: there isn't one.

113 was a fantastic event! High energy, great fights and overall a very smooth operation. Could not have asked for a better run fight night!

Feel free to download, share, and tag anyone who's in or would enjoy the photos. I do this for both the fans and the fighters. Without either of you, I couldn't do what I do.
