If I took a photo every hour this gorgeous momma was in labor…her gallery would automatically include THIRTY SEVEN images…37 hours this woman labored awaiting the arrival of their sweet boy…
And even though she thought she escaped a c-section this time…we ended up in the OR.
You see, initially they had planned for a C-section because somebody loved being in the wrong position…I won’t mention any names ole Nicky boy 😉…but at her final OB appointment, he had turned!
So the section was called off and it was time to labor and go through all things laboring in the hospital entails…which typically includes no eating, no sleep, no privacy, no clean smelling linens…
It was full of IVs, heart monitors, beeping sounds coming from every direction, ice chips…if you’re lucky, loss of moving your legs and using the big girl potty from an epidural (I’ll take that downfall any day personally—bring on all the epidurals during my labors 🤣), a personalized bag that holds your p*e clipped to your extremely comfortable and fancy hospital bed…
Did I mention the cool peanut ball?
For 37 hours…this momma toughed it out. She didn’t quit. She didn’t complain. She just wanted her baby boy to come out safely…but deep down hoped it didn’t mean a c-section.
But baby boy was NOT going to come see the outside world. He refused until the decision was made to show him he’s not 100% in charge of his life yet 😉
And just like that…momma and daddy ended up in the OR about meet this handsome and ridiculously alert little boy for the first time.
Here’s a sneak from some of their OR sorry.
Oh…you wanted to see pictures of him, huh? You see, you’ll have to wait just like we did. 😉
He will get another post because this birth story…needs more details…
Welcome to the World sweet boy! be good for the rents tonight…they’re both exhausted 😝
Shout out to the physicians and medical staff for being so amazing and helping make this birth story possible 🥰🥰🥰
